Trials have specific attributes that must be defined in forms. One attribute, the system form, is a pre-configured form to capture details specific to a particular object, including the Trial, Site, Patient, and Visit. These system forms also appear as default forms when TrialBuilder is first installed. The defined System Form affects how it behaves in TrialMaster.
To edit a form:
1. Access the applicable page. (See View Trial, View Sites, View Patients, View Forms or View Visits for guidance.)
2. Click the
System Form icon
(or the
Form icon from the Forms page).
The Form Designer page displays.
3. Click in each field to complete the form items.
The corresponding dialog displays on the right-hand side of the page.
4. To drag and drop the form elements, use the left-hand-side.
· When adding items, click theItems toggle to filter between items/item
controls.
· When adding groups, click theGroups toggle to filter between
groups/group layouts.
5. Enter/select the applicable information in the dialog on the right and then click the Save button.
In the example above, "Textbox" was dragged to the Site Name field and the remaining information was entered/selected in the dialog on the right-hand side.
6. To add/edit an edit check, click on the applicable item in the form layout (middle panel), click to the right of the toggle at the top of the page to go to Edit Check Mode, and do one of the following:
· To add an edit check, do the following:
o Click theicon
at the top right of the Form Designer page.
o Enter/select the applicable information in the Edit Check panel on the right.
o At the bottom of the Edit Check panel, click the Compile button and then click the Save button.
· To edit an existing edit check, in the Edit Check panel on the right of the Form Designer page, do the following:
o Enter/select the applicable information.
o To add a source item to the Action Expression field, click and drag to the item to the expression. To view the full path of the source item, scroll down to the Variables field of the Edit Check panel.
o To delete an edit check,
click theDelete
icon. (To navigate between multiple edit checks, click the Next/Previous
button.)
o At the bottom of the Edit Check panel, click the Compile button and then click the Save button.

7. Click the Go Back button at the bottom of the middle panel to return to the system object page.
