You can create a template parameter that is reusable across studies.
An example of a template parameter is a list of visits that an edit check can be applied to, or a list of string values that can be returned by a DVA (Data Value Advice), depending on the visit.
To add a template parameter:
1. Access the Template Parameters page. (See View Template Parameters for guidance.)
2. Click the Add Template Parameter button.
The New Template Parameter dialog displays on the right-hand side of the page.
3. Refer to the description at the bottom of the dialog when completing each field. Required fields are displayed in red.
· For the OID (Object Identifier), you may accept the default value or enter a new OID if desired.
· The Type defines the type of objects that are being captured in the Template Parameter list. In the Type drop-down list, the Literal selection enables you to enter a string value or number, and the Protocols selection allows you to replace part of the path with a parameter, and will make a secondary drop-down available to enter the parameter. (Example: Parameterize the reference to the name of your demographics form so that you can specify the form object on a trial by trial basis.)
In this example, a list of forms are is selected that will be hidden.
· To map a site, do the following at the bottom of the dialog:
o Click the + button to map a site. The selected site displays in the Mapped Site box.
o Click the X button to remove a site. The removed site no longer displays in the Mapped Site box.
· Click the Save button. The Template Parameters page displays the edited parameter.
