Copying from another similar trial saves time from manually creating objects for the trial.
You can initiate the copy process from the following pages:
· Protocol (Sites, Patients, Visits, Forms, Groups, and Items)
· CodeList
· Script Functions
· Stop Words
· Unique Numbering
· Unit Families
· Template Edits
· Templates (File Export, Export, and Import)
· SQL User Defined Functions
To copy objects from a trial:
1. From the applicable page, click the Copy From Trial button.
Note: It is not necessary to select any check
boxes in the object page. If any check boxes are selected, they are ignored.
2. Select the Protocol Plane from the drop-down list of the Select Protocol Plane dialog.
3. Select the applicable trial in the Copy From Trial dialog.
4. In the Copy Trial Objects dialog, do the following:
· Select the Source Object Type and click the Select button.
· In Available Source Objects table (top):
o Select the check boxes of the applicable source objects. (Click the check box in the top row of the table to select all objects.)
o Refer to the following to select/de-select objects. The selected objects are populated in the Selected Source Objects table (bottom) table.

· In the Selected Source Objects table (bottom), select the check boxes of the applicable source objects. (The example above shows that all objects are selected.)
· Click the Copy Objects
button. The
Status icon indicates that copy function is currently processing. (The
copy process may take a while.)
5. When the Copy Trial Suggestion dialog displays, do the following:
· If applicable, click the Copy Suggestions icon to edit an
object's mapping. Make your changes in the Edit
Mapping dialog and click the Save button.
· Click the Copy
button. The
Status icon indicates that copy function is currently processing. When
the copy is complete, the Copy Trial Object dialog displays.
· Click the X Close button in each dialog to return to the main page.
